School Election is April 27; Deadline to Register To Vote is April 6

Don't worry, you can still cast a ballot if you get the paperwork squared away by April 6.

School elections will be held in Holmdel Township from 2 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27.

"It's important to note the election is on Wednesday," said School Business Administrator Michael Petrizzo, at the March 29 public hearing on the 2011/2012 budget. "Traditionally it's always on a Tuesday. And its a whole week later than it usually is," he said.

Voters will be asked to vote "yes" or "no" on the Board of Education's $51 million spending plan. The budget does not increase taxes. If voters do not approve it, it can be sent to the Township Committee for cuts.
