Prosecutor's Office, Police Bring Heroin Talk to Holmdel

The presentation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25.

The Holmdel Police Department and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office (MCPO) have teamed up to educate parents and teens about the dangers of heroin.

The law enforcement agencies will present "Heroin: Are You Talking to Your Kids Yet" at Holmdel High School on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m.

Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni has said heroin use has become an epidemic in Monmouth County. The MCPO has held many presentations at high schools around the county in recent months to discuss heroin use and abuse.

For more information on the scheduled program at Holmdel High School, contact Holmdel Township Police Department Detective Andrew Kret at 732-946-9690 ext. 1713.

Holmdel parents: if you think this is not an urgent concern to you and your kids, you are wrong! I promise you, your high school student knows how serious prescription drug and heroin use is in this community. This meeting should be mandatory.

Agree! My brother-in-law attended this talk in a nearby town, and it was a very worthy evening. He is still talking about the mind-blowing and horrifying facts of Heroin. It is right here in Holmdel.
