It Worked! Holmdel Robotics Team Returns Triumphant
The team was awarded the 2012 Rutgers University District Highest Rookie Seed Award
Holmdel Robotics Team "Singularity" has returned from the Rutgers University FIRST Robotics District Competition feeling rather pumped.
This was Holmdel’s first time competing at such an event. The team's robot was seeded 22d out of 42. And for a fabulous 20 minutes on Saturday, Holmdel was actually ranked third, said Holmdel Robotics Team advisor Mathew Weisfeld.
The competitions lasted from Friday night until Sunday at Rutgers College Ave. Gym. Holmdel was proud of its $6,000 invention, made out of wood, cardboard, and duct tape. Numerous other schools competed, some with robots costing five times as much.
