Holmdel District, Saint John Vianney Schools Closed Monday

The district will be closing schools in advance of Hurricane Sandy.

Holmdel Township School District will close schools Monday as Hurricane Sandy prepares to batter the Northeast.

Board of Education President Barbara Garrity confirmed the closure Saturday afternoon after receiving word from Superintendent Barbara Duncan.

Saint John Vianney announced its closure for Monday and Tuesday on the Facebook page.

Hazlet Township has not announced a closure, as of Saturday night. Superintendent Bernard Bragen said a decision would be made on Sunday.
