Holmdel Students Benefit from Not Using Snow Days
Students get two days in May back for vacation.
While Hurricane Sandy closed schools for almost two weeks in Holmdel, the district still didn't use its snow days.
The school calendar was revised in November due to the hurricane, the district saved its snow days in case of a nasty winter.
Holmdel students will now enjoy vacation on Friday, May 24 and Tuesday, May 28 as part of a long Memorial Day weekend.

Thursday, May 23 is now a four-hour session, according to the district website.
