Holmdel High School Shows Highest Grades in District on Standardized Testing

Indian Hill had the highest failing percentages, specifically in language arts.

Across New Jersey, testing scores were up this year among standardized tests such as the HSPA and NJAsk, as new standards were enacted in public schools.

According to data compiled by The Star Ledger, test scores rose among third through eighth graders and were even better among high school students.

In Holmdel High School, above average test scores earned the school an 'A' from In Jersey magazine in August, for the 2012 scores. That grade combined HSPA and SAT scores.

Standardized testing in New Jersey combined new Common Core State Standards this year, and state education officials said the test was actually harder. By 2015, the new PARCC test will be entirely digital.

Each school received a small percentage of failing tests in the district, however Indian Hill had the highest failing percentages, specifically in language arts.

Date compiled from The Star Ledger can be found online, searchable by each school. (Note: Not every grade participates in science testing).
