Hazlet Schools Superintendent Says He Is Leaving for Job in Middletown

Schools Superintendent William O. George III says he has been chosen to be the Middletown Schools Superintendent. He said he will help identify a replacement.

In an email letter to Hazlet school district parents Wednesday, Hazlet Schools Superintendent William O. George III announced he has been approved to be the Superintendent of the Middletown Township School District.

"During the next two months I will be working with Hazlet Township Board of Education to find my replacement," he said in the letter.

Of the changes George oversaw, a few of the most visible ones were the district's first full-day kindergarten program, redistricting of the elementary schools in order to balance class sizes, as well as the new solar energy project at the high school and middle schools.
