Absences Cause Hazlet BOE Member to be Voted Out by Board

Doshi was invited to provide documents or information supporting his absences, however according to meeting minutes, he failed to do so.

According to July meeting minutes, Hazlet Board of Education member Sameer Doshi was voted off the board after failing to attend more than three meetings.

Doshi was invited to provide documents or information supporting his absences, however according to the minutes, he failed to do so.

The board voted on July 1 at a special meeting to remove Doshi from the board after the former member missed two meetings in May and one meeting in June.

An advertisement of the vacant seat was posted after the meeting, asking interested parties to apply by July 24. According to tonight's agenda, the Board will swear in its new member at the meeting.

Tonight's meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Raritan High School.
