Holmdel HS Sports Teams Have a "Season to Remember"

Superintendent ticks off a list of accomplishments

At the Board of Education meeting last week, Superintendent Barbara Duncan recognized some winning Holmdel High School teams. She congratulated fall 2011 sports teams for an outstanding “season to remember.”

"Good luck to everyone 'in the home stretch," she said in the Oct. 26 meeting.

Cross Country (Boys): 6-0 on the season; Division Champions; 3rd place at the Monmouth County Championships; #17 ranking in NJ.

Cross Country (Girls): 5-1 on the season; 3rd place at the Monmouth County Championships; Top 10 ranking in the Shore Conference.

Field Hockey: 11-3 on the season; #5 ranking in the Shore Conference

Gymnastics: 10-1 on the season; #15 ranking in NJ.

Soccer (Boys): 12-3 on the season; Division Champions; #6 ranking in the Shore Conference.

Tennis: 21-3 on the season; Division and State Sectional Champions; Group II State finalists; #4 ranking in NJ.
