"Lighthouses of New Jersey" talk with Bill Volpe

The Atlantic Highlands Historical Society will host Bill Volpe of the New Jersey Lighthouse Society on May 16 at 7:30 p.m.

Volpe will talk about the way lighthouses work and their role in New Jersey history and today. He will share stories about New Jersey's 25 working and historic lighthouses, as well as those that have been lost.

He will illustrate his talk with photos and illustrations, and with a scale model showing the locations of all of New Jersey's lighthouses on the coast, in New York Harbor, and
Delaware Bay.
