Our Perfect Wedding Day

Details of the resulting wedding!

Hi, readers!

We successfully got hitched on October 1. Sorry to keep any reader waiting for the photos. I actually got to meet one of you when we were decorating the reception barn the day before. That made me feel like a celebrity for a tiny moment!

We have to send many thanks to our friends and family who helped us plan our day, from decorating to financial gifts, tying centerpieces together, dj'ing, singing, officiating, photographing, helping with the sound system, dress fittings, gift bags, and morning-after breakfast! We couldn't have done it without you!!

We had a short, sweet ceremony for a small group at Allaire State Park's chapel. We were lucky that it didn't rain. We had overcast skies, which are great for outdoor photography. Thank goodness, because our day wouldn't have been the same. Most of the photos were outside, both at the ceremony and before the reception.

Our reception location was fantastic. Bayonet Farm can continue to be a great place to host a wedding or event in the future. The facility (especially the updated bathrooms and electric outlets - there were tons) is really wonderful. I could envision the township eventually paving the path to the parking area, adding some lighting features, putting in a kitchen, and even having their own caterers and offering event packages in the future. It really was the perfect place for us, but was also a lot of work. Please see our photographer's blog here for some of our photos!

I can gush and gush about our vendors: beautiful, unique rings, best pies ever!, perfect flowers and lighting, and much more, but I want to keep this short!

As the professional "inspiration" sites do, I'm going to mention some of those who designed elements of the wedding.

Photography: Freckle Photography

Flowers: Posies Studio

Dress: Nicole Miller

Catering: Country Picnic

Rings: Barbara Michelle Jacobs Fine Jewelry

And finally, some photos! I've kept the watermark on them, as these are the smaller-sized files we have.
