Sprucing Up the Town Hall Sign

Dept. of Public Works crew at work Tuesday.

A Holmdel Dept. of Public Works crew was spotted sprucing up the entrance to Town Hall / Police Headquarters on Tuesday.

Since the Board of Education left the building for the Village School in October, the carved wooden sign needed to be redone. The team of three used paint to "brown out" the BOE's letters, leaving it blank, and touched up the rest with bright white. (No illuminated light box-and-letters here; things are done the traditional way!) The grounds were tidied up and daylilies were tucked into the planting bed, in hopes for summer blooms.

Town Hall is going through some changes. The lobby furniture is gone. The recreation department just moved upstairs, HYAA took the old Registrar's office on the mail floor, and administration offices are being reworked in order to make room to rent space to private office tenants for revenue.
