Toll Brothers Plan for 185 Townhomes Comes Before Holmdel Planning Board

A public hearing on the plan to build 185 age-restricted units in the front of the former Bell Labs property will be held on July 8 at 7 p.m.

A public hearing on Toll Brothers plan to build 185 age-restricted town homes on the former Bell Labs property will be held on July 8 at 7 p.m. in Holmdel Town Hall.

Concept plans show the 185 age-restricted carriage homes flanking both sides of the iconic white water tower at Crawfords Corner Road and continuing towards the border of the ring road at the center of the building.

The site is on an approximately 134-acre portion of the 473-acre property, located to the south side of Crawfords Corner Road and the east side of Roberts Road and Middletown Road. The building would be done in two phases.

Phase I will address the east side of existing entrance driveway (65 acres) would include 108 new age-restricted carriage homes, Clubhouse/recreational amenities, an infiltration basin and a wet pond.

Phase II will encompass the 69-acre portion of the west side of the existing Lucent driveway, and would include 77 new age-restricted carriage homes and two infiltration basins

Also at the meeting, the Planning Board will act on a resolution authorizing Toll Brothers' previous application granting preliminary/Final Major Subdivision for the development of 40 single-family building lots and associated site improvements on an approximately 103-acre portion of the property.
