Holmdel Mayor Impreveduto's Letter To Residents

Posted Oct. 31 on township website: Town Hall is closed; electronics charging station set up at Centerville Road First Aid building; list of stores and gas stations.

Dear Resident:

Local recovery efforts are continuing. With few exceptions, Township roads are cleared, and we are working with the County to clear their roads. Extensive power outages remain, and JCP&L does not yet have a firm estimate for restoration. Residents should be aware that the area remains hazardous due to downed lines, inoperative traffic signals, and potential additional tree falls.

Effective October 31st, Town Hall is closed until further notice except for limited emergency staffing. The community center is closed.

The Fire Company on Route 520 and the Centerville Road First Aid Building have been set up as a charging station for use in charging electronics from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.

There is no internet service.

The following is our best information regarding open stores and gas sources:

  • Foodtown on Highway 36: water and dry goods, no perishables are available
  • Stop and Shop on Highway 35 in Middletown. Water, dry goods, and pharmacy.
  • Stop and Shop on Highway 36 in Keyport is open water, dry goods, but no perishables. Pharmacy is open.
  • WaWa on Highway 36 in Leonardo has gas, water and limited amount of food.
  • BP and Exxon on Newman Springs Road are both open and have gas.

Thank you for your cooperation during this difficult time

Sincerely,

Patrick Impreveduto
