File Tax Appeals by Jan. 15 in Holmdel

Holmdel resident have until Jan. 15 of next year to file a tax appeal with the township, according to the township's fall newsletter.

Assessment cards will be mailed beginning Nov. 15 and appeals hearings will be held between February and March. The new timeline allows municipalities to factor appeals into the next year's budget, according to the new county process. 

Senior citizens with a combined income of $10,000 or less maybe be eligible for an annual deduction of $250. Senior citizens may also be eligible for another Property Tax Reimbursement program. Call 1-800-882-6597 for more information.

Veterans are also entitled to a $250 annual deduction. Application forms are available at the Monmouth County Tax Board Office located in Freehold, NJ or on their website.
