Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority Public Hearing and Meeting

The Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority will conduct a Public Hearing on July 18 at the Administrative Offices of the Authority, 100 Oak St., Union Beach. The purpose of the hearing is to present testimony and receive comment on the proposed 2011/2012 connection fee of the Authority.

Please take further notice in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Bayshore Regional Sewerage authority, specifically, Section 15, subparagraphs 15.02, " the Authority establishes a schedule of surcharges for industrial users, and the surcharges may be amended from time to time, in accordance with the State and Federal Guidelines and as experience, including such factors as flow, construction costs, maintenance and operating costs require." The Commissioners of the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority deem it in the best interest to revise those surcharge rates for the year 2011; and is hereby noticed to allow for a 30-day Public Comment Period.

The Authority's Industrial Pretreatment Program will recommend the revised Schedule of Industrial Surcharge Rates for the year 2011 for Chemical Oxygen Deman Biochemical Oxygen Deman, and total Suspended Solids. Interested parties may contact the Authority for propsed rates and further information.

The Public Hearing will commence at 7 p.m. The regular meeting of the Authority will commence thereafter. Formal action may be taken.
