Election Results: Luttman Wins Another Term; School Board Gets New Faces

Incumbent GOP Committeeman wins re-election; School Board gets new faces

Final results are in.

Todd Luttman, Republican Incumbent Township Committeeman wins a second term on the 5-member, all GOP committee, by a commanding margin. Luttman received 7,717 votes to Democratic challenger Jessee Buetell's 3,309.

On the Board of Education, the three uncontested races for three-year terms were a foregone conclusion: Board President John Tavis wins a full term, and he'll be joined by Robin Zawodniak and Kenneth J. Dioguardi.

For the jam-packed 1-year term on the Board of Education, Mary Catherine McCarthy Spellman wins the unexpired term of former longtime board member Laurie Cannon with a commanding 2,164 votes.

Vote. Its a right. Exercise it. And to those who make it on the school board and committee we need better communication in events like we have just went through.

As a parent of two students in Wall, I found the communication by the BOE, the Township, and the State of NJ, to be exemplary.

Not really. Maybe for those who have power yes, but for those still living without it and getting our information from the rumor mill that we will get it yesterday, today, then Friday or maybe the 16th, no. It would be nice to get specific factual information so we can pass it along to our neighbors like the problem JCP&L is facing in each affected area, the time frame for the solution so we all can properly plan facing another storm system. The school excluded from above comment they did a nice job explaining the problems faced and the time frame of the decisions.
