Woman Indicted For Alleged Possession, Distribution of Drugs in Hazlet

Police say she sold drugs to an undercover agent.

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Staten Island woman on charges she possessed and distributed drugs in Hazlet, according to court documents.

Police say Danielle Lamassa, 25, was in possession of oxycodone in Hazlet on May 15 and May 17, 2012. Investigators also allege Lamassa sold the prescription medication to an undercover detective from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

Lamassa was indicted on a total of five charges, including two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), two counts of possession of a CDS with intent to distribute and one count of distribution of a CDS.

All are third degree crimes.

An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that a grand jury found there was enough evidence to proceed with a trial.
