Two Indicted After $10k in Alleged Fraudulent Purchases at Best Buy

Card charges were incurred at Best Buy on two occasions in March and April, allegedly totaling $10,900, according to police.

Brian Hernandez, 19 and Kiara Rivera, 20 of Perth Amboy were indicted by a Grand Jury on Wednesday after allegedly making $10k worth of fraudulent purchases at Best Buy in Holmdel. 

Hernandez and Rivera were arrested in May after a two-month investigation by Holmdel Police into fraudulent purchases made at the Holmdel Best Buy. Police allegedly found corresponding electronics at the scene of the arrest.

Card charges were incurred at Best Buy on two occasions in March and April, allegedly totaling $10,900, according to police.

Both Hernandez and Rivera were indicted on counts of identity theft, fraudulent use of a credit card and theft by deception.
