Traffic Cones Stolen From Construction Site in Holmdel

Anyone seen 40 orange cones? With Tuesday's Holland Road closure, JF Kiely Construction needs them back.

Sometime over the weekend, somebody took 40 orange traffic cones from the grassy corner of S. Holland Rd. and Telegraph Hill Rd, a company supervisor told Holmdel Police on Monday morning.

The cones, valued at $600, has the company logo on them.

JF Kiely Construction is storing vehicles and equipment at the intersection and on side streets, for ongoing New Jersey Natural Gas pipeline repair and installation work in Holmdel Township.

The cones will have to be replaced because starting tomorrow, Holland Road (which is the continuation of Telegraph Hill Road) will be closed indefinitely from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. on weekdays, from the intersection with Takolusa/S. Holland Road all the way to Laurel Ave., on the Middletown border.

Motorists are advised to use Red Hill Road / Crawfords Corner Road as an alternate route. Accomodations will be made for residents living off the closed road.
