Three Will Stand Trial for Alleged Theft at Kohl's

A grand jury indicts three women for charges related to shoplifting.

Three local women have been indicted by a Monmouth County Grand Jury for allegedly stealing from Kohl's of Holmdel on October 23, 2011. They face charges of conspiracy and theft, which are third degree crimes.

They are Taryn Ellis, 20-years-old, of 145 Waterwitch Ave in Highlands; Denise McDonnell, 39-years-old of 47 Moran Place of Keansburg; and Lynn Moretti, 40, of 6 Woodside Ave, Keansburg.

According to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, the three travelled together to Kohl's and loaded a shopping cart with $3,435.89 merchandise that they had no intentions of purchasing. They then left the store with the goods, said the prosecutor.

Moretti is also accused of obstrucing justice.

The Grand Jury does not determine guilt or innocence.
