Police Seek Man Who Fled Traffic Stop

Police said 120 bags of heroin were found in the vehicle.

Holmdel police are looking for a man who ran away from police following a traffic stop near the intersection of Crawfords Corner Road and Falcons Ridge Circle at 2:48 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28.

According to police, Patrolman Michael Moore tried to stop a tan Oldsmobile with a Delaware registration after the driver ran through a red light at the intersection of Crawfords Corner Road and South Holland Road.

The vehicle continued into Falcons Ridge Circle at a high rate of speed and stopped after pulling into a residential driveway. As soon as the car was stopped, the driver ran away into a wooded area of an adjacent development.

Holmdel police and Hazlet Police K-9 Officer Geoghan conducted an extensive search but did not find the suspect, police said. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle contained in excess of 120 bags of heroin.

The investigation is ongoing by Patrolman Moore and the Holmdel Police Detective Bureau.
