Police: Over $10k in Fraudulent Purchases Made at Holmdel Best Buy

Police arrested Brian Hernandez and Kiara Rivera for the alleged fraudulent use of credit cards and gift cards.

An almost two-month police investigation into fraudulent purchases made at the Holmdel Best Buy led police to two arrests last week.

Brian Hernandez, 19 and Kiara Rivera, 20 of Perth Amboy were arrested last Friday and charged with the alleged theft and the fraudulent use of credit cards. Police allegedly found corresponding electronics at the scene of the arrest.

Card charges were incurred at Best Buy on two occasions in March and April, allegedly totaling $10,900, according to police.

Hernandez was taken to the Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $40,000 bail and River was released pending a court date.
