Police: Drugs Found in Man's Pants at Holmdel Motor Inn

Officers were called to the Holmdel Motor Inn on Tuesday morning on a report of suspicious narcotics activity, according to Holmdel Police.

After an investigation with the K-9 unit and a search through motor lodge rooms, police allegedly found Jeron Redway, 25, of Ocean and Keith Simmonds, Jr., 25, of Leonardo in possession of drugs.

Police reported that while Simmonds was being arrested, an amount of cocaine packaged for distribution allegedly fell out of his pants. Further searching allegedly revealed Simmonds also had crack and marijuana.

$880 was seized from the room by police. Both were processed and transported to the Monmouth County Jail, where they were committed in lieu of bail. Bail for Redway was set at $45,000.00 and bail for Simmonds was set at $35,000.00 by Judge Mary Casey.
