Police Blotter: Armed Robbery Arrest

The following is an update from the Holmdel Township Police Department.


On Saturday, July 28, 2012, the Rahway Police Department arrested James J. Bixler, 34 of Rahway, on an outstanding Holmdel warrant for the armed robbery of a Patsy’s Cab Service driver on May 21, 2012.  

Bixler was transported to the Holmdel Township Police Department by Detective/Sgt. Jeffrey Ackerson and Ptl. Matthew Menosky, where he was processed.  

Bixler was charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Theft.  Bail was set at $122,500.00, and Bixler was lodged in the Monmouth County Correctional Institute.  

Bixler was also charged with the armed robbery of a cab driver in Edison, NJ.

The investigation was conducted by Detective/Sgt. Jeffrey Ackerson and Detective Eric Hernando of the Holmdel Township Police Department.  They were assisted by Detectives from the Edison Police Department.
