Police Blotter: Alleged Car Thief Caught and Arrested

The following arrest information was supplied by the Holmdel police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

June 14: 2011: Holmdel Township Police detectives say they have arrested an 18-year old male resident of Keansburg and charged him for burglary, theft of moveable property, theft of credit cards and attempting to commit credit card fraud

This arrest was the result of a Holmdel Police Department investigation into vehicle burglaries in the Palmer Avenue area of Holmdel.

In May, the Keansburg man entered an unlocked vehicle in Holmdel during the nighttime hours and stole property, including cash and credit cards, say police. He then attempted to make several purchases in Keansburg, they say.

The alleged thief was a juvenile at the time of the incident and has been lodged in the Middlesex County Youth Detention Center pending his court appearance, according to police.
