Pair Charged With Intent to Distribute Heroin Marked "Decoy"

A 19-year old from Atlantic Highlands and a 22-year old from Union Beach are being held at the county jail.

Middletown Police Ptl. John Beirne arrested two Bayshore residents on charges of heroin possession on May 9.  

Diana A. Roth, 19, of Bay Avenue in Atlantic Highlands and Anthony C. Cocuzza, 22, of Dibling Street in Union Beach were each charged with three counts: possession of three wax folds of heroin stamped in purple ink marked "Decoy," intention to distribute heroin in quantities of less than one half ounce, and conspiring together to distribute heroin. 

Roth was also arrested for shoplifting at Kohl's and on contempt of court warrants issued by the Atlantic Highlands and Old Bridge Municipal Court.

Cocuzza is also facing contempt of court warrants issued by the Holmdel and Highlands Municipal Court. 

Both are lodged at the county jail in Freehold. Roth is being held on $22,500 bail, and Cocuzza on $5,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson. They are scheduled to make an initial appearance before a judge on May 19.
