Married Couple, Friend Allegedly Shoplifted Over $1,000 of Merchandise

The couple had allegedly shoplifted from the store two other times, according to police.

A married Middletown couple and a woman from Keansburg allegedly shoplifted on more than one occasion from Home Goods and Marshall's in Holmdel, according to police.

Police said Matthew Rock, 29, and his wife Melissa Rock, 31, of Middletown along with Christine Oliva, 32, of Keansburg were allegedly caught shoplifting from Home Goods on Friday.

Police investigation revealed the Rocks and Olive had also allegedly shoplifted from Marshall's that day, and the Rocks had previously allegedly shoplifted from the store on previous occasions, totaling $1,493 in stolen merchandise.

Oliva was charged with one count of shoplifting while the Rocks were charged with three counts of shoplifting. 

The Rocks were Shoplifting released on their own recognizance pending a court appearance. Oliva was released on a summons. 

In 2008, Oliva was arrested as a part of an ongoing Monmouth County undercover investigation which resulted in the arrest of 15 people for drug-related charges. Oliva was charged and convicted for possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute the the distribution of heroin, according to county records.

In April of this year, Oliva was also arrested in Middletown and charged with simple assault, according to Middletown Police.
