Man Found Sleeping in Car in Holmdel Family's Driveway

Holmdel Police say the Aberdeen man was looking for the Matawan train station when he stopped in the driveway to take a snooze.

Holmdel Police arrested an Aberdeen man for DWI Tuesday after he was discovered asleep in his car in the driveway of a home on Centerville Road.

Mark Norman, 53, of 8 Anna Ave. in Aberdeen was also charged with reckless driving because when police arrived, he put his car into reverse and struck the resident's vehicle.

The homeowner noticed the car at 5:30 p.m. and called police. During the investigation by Ptl Sigismondi, it was determined by the officer that Norman was operating his vehicle under the influence.

Norman explained he was lost and was looking for the Matawan Train Station. He sustained minor injuries in the accident and was transported to Bayshore Hospital by the Holmdel First Aid Squad.
