Man Arrested for Trespassing on Indian Hill School Grounds

He had walked from Bayshore Community Hospital, and was looking for a ride.

A man who walked out of Bayshore Community Hospital and onto Indian Hill School Grounds Thursday was arrested and charged by Holmdel police for one count of trespassing.

A school custodian noticed 52-year old Barry Lotz attempting to enter the school. According to police, Lotz had been a patient at Bayshore Hospital and was trying to find a ride back to the New Hope Foundation in Marlboro where he was staying. New Hope Foundation is a drug, alcohol and gambling addiction rehabilitation facility.

Police were called, and at 2:32 p.m. Ptl. William Bernard arrested the man and charged him with trespassing. Police said Lotz is self-employed and divorced. There was also a warrant out for his arrest, issued by Morristown police, for previous unspecified charges.
