Ke$ha Fans Cause Disturbance at Aberdeen-Matawan Train Station

Matawan, Aberdeen, and NJ Transit officers issue summonses for underage drinking, littering on Friday, August 19.

Police from Matawan, Aberdeen, and NJ Transit responded to disturbances at the Aberdeen-Matawan train station on Friday evening, August 19.

Lt. Ben Smith of the Matawan Police Department reported that several subjects were taken to Bayshore Hospital due to alleged intoxication.

No arrests have been made at this time, although several summonses were issued for littering and underage drinking. Police believe many of the subjects were attending the Ke$ha concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel.

According to Smith, officers had been stationed in the area in anticipation of the concert, and remain on the scene waiting for the concert to end.

Several area first aid responders were also called to the scene.
