Keansburg Woman Hit by Car on Route 35 in Holmdel
Patricia Dowd was crossing Route 35 in the crosswalk when she was struck by a car.
A Keansburg woman was hit by a car while crossing Route 35 on Wednesday afternoon, according to Holmdel Police.
Patricia D. Dowd, 54, of Keansburg was traveling east across Route 35 toward Union Avenue when she was hit by Holmdel resident In Kim, 78.
According to police, Kim was making a left turn onto Route 35 from Centerville Road when he allegedly hit Dowd with his car.
Police said Dowd suffered an injury to her left leg and was treated at the scene by Holmdel First Aid, then brought to Bayshore Community Hospital. Kim suffered no injuries.
The case is currently under investigation by Officer Jake Savage and no charges have been issued. Any witnesses are encouraged to contact the Holmdel Police Department.
