In Holmdel, Two Burglaries Reported Saturday
The Korean Church and a home on Luccarelli Drive.
Two burglaries were reported to the Holmdel Police Dept. on Saturday.
In the first indicident at the Korean Church of New Jersey on South Holland Road, entry was attempted by smashing a rear sliding door with a cinder block. When that failed, the suspects kicked in a door located at the rear of the church. It is currently unknown if anything of value was taken.
The second incident occurred on Luccarelli Drive. It was reported to police at approximately 11:30 pm. Someone gained entry to the home thorugh an unlocked first floor window, and stole off with jewelry and electronics. The value of the stolen goods has not yet been determined.

Holmdel Police detectives are continuing their investigation.

In Holmdel, there was a report of a burglary on Holland Road on March 29, and suspected attempted burglary on Manee Place on May 9.
At the Holmdel Police Department's quarterly Neighborhood Watch meeting, detectives told captains that surrounding towns have reported many burglaries in December and January. Middletown alone reported 47, Holmdel had 3.
The police urged residents to keep doors locked, especially when you not at home, and utilize alarm system. Also, they were told to report any suspicious activity to the Police Department.
