Holmdel Woman Nabbed for Stealing Jewelry and Toys, Police Say

Michaela Makulova is being held in jail in lieu of bail and with an immigration hold on her.

A Holmdel woman was arrested last Friday after allegedly shoplifting toys and jewelry from Kohl's.

Michaela Makulova, 29, was caught in the store allegedly putting the merchandise in her backpack and attempting to leave on Oct. 11.

Officers responding to the scene arrested Makulova after a short investigation revealing probable cause, according to county arrest records.

Bail was set at $20,000 with no ten percent option and is being held in the Monmouth County Jail on charges of shoplifting and contempt of court. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement also put a hold on Makulova.
