Anyone know whether we're talking about selective tree removal for safety reasons? Or are do they plan to do something more drastic that would change the entire rustic character of Middletown Rd. - like they did when they removed all those Sycamores along Holland Road way back when?

Jeff, Only old dead trees that have been determined a safety hazard are slated for removal. The details are here http://holmdel.patch.com/articles/dead-trees-to-come-down-by-end-of-summer. Thanks for the question.
