Holmdel Police Blotter: Dec. 2 - 11

Arrests for DUI, drug possession, unlawful possession of a weapon and report of a break-in.

The following information was recently released by the Holmdel Police Dept. An arrest is not a conviction. 

Dec. 2: Philip T. Kozma, 58, of Aberdeen was arrested by Ptl. Charles Groder around 1 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence on Van Brackle Road, near Dora Lane. 

Dec 2: Karen Farkas, 46 of Carteret was arrested by Holmdel Police at Petsmart after she was accused of trying to intimidate another customer with a wooden rod from her car after a brief verbal argument. She was charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of a weapon. She was released pending a court date.

Dec. 4: Magdy Samaan, 35, who said he lives at the Holmdel Motor Inn, was arrested and charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances (Oxycodone, Alprazolam), hypodermic syringes, and being under the influence after police were called to investigate a report of loud behavior in the parking lot there. He was released pending a court date. 

Dec. 11: Police are investigating a report of criminal mischief at a home that is up for sale on South Telegraph Hill Road. A glass patio door as shattered, and dark liquid, possibly iced tea, was spilled on floors, counters, kitchen barstools, walls and appliances.
