Holmdel Police Blotter: Aug. 5-7

Suspected shoplifter is said to have tried to walk out of Kohl's wearing two bras and four extra pairs of underwear.

The following information was released by the Holmdel Police Dept. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

August 5: Three gas station credit cards and $3 in change was stolen from an unlocked car parked on Brentwood Drive during the afternoon. The cards were in the center console. 

August 7: Emma Margaret Rodriguez, 18 of Aberdeen was arrested and charged with taking merchandise from Kohl's without intent to pay after police say she attempted to walk out of the store wearing multiple pairs of undergarments under her clothes, valued at $68. Discarded price tags in the dressing room tipped off the loss prevention officer, who reported observing Rodriguez purchase yoga pants and exit the store. When he stopped her, he told police he could see she was wearing two bras. In the privacy of an office with a female Holmdel Police Officer present, Rodriguez reportedly removed four pairs of new underwear and one extra Candies' bra, and handed them over to Police.

August 9: A Beau Ridge development resident reported that his iPad, valued at $900, went missing from the trunk of his car. The resident said he returned home, and a short while after he realized he left his computer in the car and went out to retrieve it, but it was no longer there. The Apple iCloud system installed on the device did not give any helpful location information.
