Kalkay, of Holmdel, allegedly punched a Howell woman while undergoing a minor medical procedure in July.
A Monmouth County jury thinks the numerous charges brought against Sean Kalkay, 33, should go to trial.
Kalkay, of Holmdel, allegedly punched a Howell woman while undergoing a minor medical procedure at Endocrinology Associates on Iron Bridge Road in July. He then broke out the windows in the office before authorities arrived
Kalkay allegedly threw a large rock through a patrol car window, injuring Officer Scott Deluca. When Deluca left his car, Kalkay threw another rock at him, Smith said. Kalkay allegedly picked up a large metal box and approached Deluca and Officer William Ketelaar. The officers then subdued him and took him into custody.
Kalkay is indicted on charges of aggravated assault on a health care worker, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon (a rock), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, criminal mischief, resisting arrest and aggravated assault on a police officer.
An indictment does not indicate absolute guilt or a conviction. It only means that a county grand jury found there was enough evidence to proceed with a prosecution. Guilt or innocence will be tried and determined in a court of law.
