The Feb. 3 arrest: "Daniel Picciallo, of Hazlet, was arrested on Hudson Avenue for possession of a weapon, possession of narcotics and for needlessly killing a living creature. A male juvenile, also from Hazlet, was arrested on the same charges. Ptl. Jerry Burgos and Ptl. Joseph Fabian were the arresting officers."

Feb. 3 - Daniel Picciallo, of Hazlet I'm not surprised to hear this about him. Karma!!
Biscotta February 28, 2013 at 07:13 PM
What poor animal died at their hands. Just terrible!! If you have issues why take it out on an innocent animal.
Peter Figoski February 28, 2013 at 07:35 PM
It was just some squirrels that he shot. They happen to be in season I am not sure why he was arrested. This was not a case of animal cruelty. Before long we will not be allowed to kill rats but murderers and rapists will continue to go free.
Biscotta February 28, 2013 at 08:18 PM
Squirrels are living creatures and it is animal cruelty. They are innocent. How you can say that their in season is bs. You're "nuts"
Peter Figoski February 28, 2013 at 08:51 PM
I hate to break it to you grace but killing an animal humanely is not cruelty. I cannot tell if you are a nut or just being silly or a lunatic. Hunting is environmentally sound. Not to mention the squirrels that they killed are not around to dart into the street and cause vehicle accidents. I hope you dont think killing deer and bears is also cruelty! And what about cows? Small game Hunting Seasons squirrel, gray Sept. 29 to Dec. 1** and Dec. 10, 11,13–31, 2012 and Jan. 1 to Feb 18, 2013 Sunrise to 1⁄2 hour after sunset 8 a.m. start on Nov. 10 Limit 5 If you had a rat in your house would you kill it? Is that cruelty?
Biscotta February 28, 2013 at 09:04 PM
So is it ok to kill dogs and cats as well?? If you kill them humanely?? I'm sure they weren't trying to cut back on the squirrel population. Well I hope the animal cruelty and the narcotics crime sticks. That's it.................

Peter Figoski - My only question is why you are using the name of a deceased hero NYPD officer that was killed in the line of duty in 2011.
Biscotta February 28, 2013 at 10:34 PM
Omg!!! I knew that name sounded familiar.
Bob Stevens February 28, 2013 at 11:03 PM
Probably a coincidence. It happens.
Bob Stevens February 28, 2013 at 11:04 PM
Where did he say he would shoot dogs and cats you idiot? Squirrels are rats. They are varmints. It is legal to hunt them in season. Get over it!! I am going to finish my squirrel stew.
Biscotta February 28, 2013 at 11:53 PM
I hope you enjoy your squirrel stew... Have a wonderful night.
Bob Stevens March 01, 2013 at 12:41 AM
Now you are using my name. Too late. I already spoke with someone at the NYPD computer crimes unit. They were very interested in your use of the name of one of their deceased officers. You have no idea how easy it is to track you down.
Jennifer March 06, 2013 at 09:58 PM
Dogs and cats are killed all the time, both in " kill shelters" and yes, humanely in the name of being humane. PETA ( I do not belong to PETA, but...) recently came out AGAINST feral cat spay-n-release programs, citing the many poor outcomes in the wild and the inability to tame feral cats. They instead sided with trap and humanely euthanize. Just so you know, there are people who THINK before speaking. I understand that you FEEL, but try the thinking thing, really.
