Hazlet Man Indicted on Drug Distribution Charges

A Monmouth County handed up the indictment Jan. 3.

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Hazlet man on charges he intended to sell and did sell marijuana on two occasions.

Investigators say Scott Scettini, 19, was in possession of marijuana and sold it to an undercover detective from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office in Hazlet on May 30 and June 11.

Scettini was indicted on four charges, including two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and two counts of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that a grand jury voted there was enough evidence to proceed with a trial.
