Hazlet Man Indicted On Charges He Burglarized Chinese Restaurant

Jury says he should stand trial on charges.

A grand jury in Freehold voted Wednesday to indict Robert Vecchiarello, 56, of Gregory Street on charges he broke into the Jing Chuan restaurant in Airport Plaza in Hazlet on September 1 and took $200.

If convicted, Vecchiarello could face up to 5-10 years on the theft charge.

The decision by the grand jury is merely a formal charge, not a conviction. A defendant is considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
