Gas Station Employee Allegedly Stole from Business

Police said he stole the money over 31 transactions, while Edward Coppola was an employee.

A gas station employee was arrested on Wednesday and charged with theft, according to Hazlet Police. 

Edward Coppola, 49, of Hazlet allegedly stole over $1,000 between May and June while working for Globe Petroleum on Bethany Road.

Police said he stole the money over 31 transactions, while Coppola was an employee.

After his arrest in Hazlet, police said it was discovered Coppola had warrants from other towns on unrelated incidents. According to Monmouth County Jail records, Coppola has three traffic infractions in New Jersey towns, including Camden.

Coppola is being held in the Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $61,672 bail.
