Fire in West Keansburg Home Draws Large Response From Bayshore Fire Departments [Video]

Smoke was seen billowing from the Compton Avenue home.

Fire blazed in the second story of a West Keansburg home Tuesday night as fire departments from at least four Bayshore towns worked to battle the flames.

As of 10:29 p.m., smoke was billowing from 97 Compton Avenue as firefighters used a ladder to access the roof and bring the fire under control before the flames could spread to neighboring homes on the tightly situated street.

It is unknown at this time what caused the fire and if anyone was injured or displaced.
