The cause of the fire is under investigation by Hazlet Det. Vincent Quinn and the Monmouth County Fire Marshal.

Firefighters from Hazlet's Fire Company #1, North Centerville Fire and West Keansburg Fire Company battled the fire. Union Beach and Matawan also were on the scene, providing Rapid Intervention Team support for the firefighters.
