Fight at Chili's Leads to Arrest of Holmdel Man

The Friday night incident began after 32-year-old Secaucus man was allegedly threatened during a verbal dispute.

A fight in the parking lot of Chili's Grill and Bar in Holmdel led to the arrest of a Holmdel man, according to police.

Michael Eagan, 31, of Gettysburg Lane was charged with making terroristic threats, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called to the parking lot of the restaurant on Aug. 16.

On Friday night, police received reports of a man allegedly threatening a 32-year-old Secaucus man during a verbal dispute. According to the arrest record, Eagan took out a Gerber folding knife and threatened to harm the man.

Police were called to the scene around 9:45 p.m., finding no one injured. Eagan was also allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia, specifically a pipe "commonly used to ingest narcotics," according to police.

The Holmdel man was taken to the Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
