Best Market Employee Charged in Butter Tampering

A worker is accused of placing razor blades in the sticks of butter, according to WNBC.

A grocery store worker has been charged in connection with food tampering incidents at Best Market, according to a WNBC report.

A 22-year-old employee allegedly placed razor blades in sticks of Kerrygold butter. Customers who purchased the butter reported the incidents to the Holmdel Township Police Department on Jan. 20 and Jan. 27.

The Food and Drug Administration and Best Market were notified following the tampering reports, and the butter was removed from shelves at that time.
