Young Holmdel High Football Alum Dies Suddenly, Services Scheduled

Christopher was a life-long resident of Holmdel; a graduate of Holmdel High School, where he played football for four years.

Christopher L. Pesce, age 25, of Holmdel, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013. Christopher was a life-long resident of Holmdel; a graduate of Holmdel High School, where he played football for four years.

Christopher attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where he majored in economics. He was a very creative and gentle soul. Christopher had a passion for creating his own music and was a natural entertainer. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on the Miami Dolphins with his father. Christopher loved spending time with his family, especially his two young nephews. Christopher was a member of St. Catharine's Roman Catholic Church in Holmdel. 

Christopher is survived by his loving parents, Laurence and MaryBeth Pesce; sister, Melissa and husband James Rescigno of Marlboro; sisters, Lauren and Michelle Pesce of Holmdel; grandmother, Janet Brescia of Parlin; grandparents, Larry and Gloria Maloney of West Windsor and his two nephews, Nicholas and Luca Rescigno. He also leaves behind many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 18 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad Street in Red Bank.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 19, 9:15 a.m. at St. Catharine's Church, 108 Middletown Road in Holmdel.
