St. Benedict Parishioner and Longtime Holmdel Resident Dies at 85

Family and friends are invited Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. & 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. at Day Funeral Home.

Gertrude “Trudy” Evelyn (Eisenbeil) Biazzo, of Holmdel, passed peacefully on Sept. 9, 2013, at the age of 85, after a lengthy battle with cancer.  She was born in Elizabeth.  She graduated from the Cranford High School.  Trudy resided in Plainfield and Watchung before moving to Holmdel 46 years ago.

She was preceded in death by her husband Martin Robert Biazzo in 1991.  She leaves behind two sons, Martin Biazzo, Jr. of Bordentown; and Bruce Biazzo of Holmdel; a sister, Dolores Humm and her husband David of Moraga, CA; a brother, David Eisenbeil and his wife Dale of York, PA; and 15 nieces and nephews.

Trudy was a loving, gentle woman whose laughter was infectious.  For many years, she volunteered at the St. Benedict Church Pantry, which supplies bags of food daily to the disenfranchised.  She also volunteered for decades in the gift shop of Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.  One of her greatest joys was distributing Holy Communion as a Eucharistic Minister to the ill in the hospital.

She would say, “I always give each patient a little kiss on the forehead.”  She was one of a kind and all who knew her, will miss her.
