Robert O'Hanlon, Boilermaker and Army Reservist, Dies at 75

Longtime Holmdel resident is survived by wife, two children and five grandchildren.

Robert O'Hanlon, 75, of Holmdel and formerly of Cliffside Park passed away at home on Friday, January 11, 2013. Robert was born in Jersey City and raised in West New York, NJ. He served in the Army Reserves in the late 1950's. Robert worked as a boilermaker for the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 28 in Bayonne. His favorite pastime was spending time with his wife and family.

Robert was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Veronica O'Hanlon, and four brothers Thomas, John, Herbert, and Joseph.

Surviving is his wife Joan O'Hanlon, son Robert O'Hanlon and his wife Catherine of Holmdel, daughter Joanne Romanik and her husband Edward of Colts Neck, brother Jerry O'Hanlon, five grandchildren Eddie, Bobby, Jessica, Robert, and Lila, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday 9:15 a.m. at St. Catharine's R.C. Church, Holmdel.
