Robert Carl Meyer, 54, of Union Beach, New Jersey passed away suddenly while responding to a fire for Union Hose Company at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey on June 8, 2014.

Robert was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on June 14, 1959. He was raised in Middletown, New Jersey and settled in Union Beach, New Jersey in 1992. He was predeceased by his parents Robert Meyer and Ann Becker.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife Linda Butler Meyer, his siblings James Meyer of Middletown, New Jersey, Steven Meyer of Gaffney, South Carolina, Laura Russo-Kay and her husband Mitchell Brandshagen of Middletown, New Jersey, his father and mother in law, Eugene and Claire Butler of Union Beach, New Jersey, his brother and sister in law, Eugene and Sue Butler, along with his cherished nieces and nephews, Kayla, Daniel, John, Steven, Stephanie, Barbara, and Stacy. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday June 13, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday June 14, from 8:00 to 8:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.

There will be a Elk Service on Friday at 6:45 PM with last call taking place at Union Hose Company, 1224 Florence Avenue, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735 Friday Morning.

Interment will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Highway 35, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
